K&M Welcomes New Staff Changes

K&M is proud to welcome several new hires and congratulate team members who have received promotions.

Ms. Anneliese Gegenheimer recently joined the Transaction Services team as a Senior Analyst. Ms. Gegenheimer is part of the K&M team leading the competitive PPP procurement for the 140MW Olkaria geothermal power plant in Kenya. Prior to K&M, Ms. Gegenheimer was a Managing Consultant at IBM. She received her Master’s degree in Energy, Resources & the Environment from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Chinese from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ms. Christiana Gellert joined the Transaction Services practice as an Analyst. Ms. Gellert is currently supporting K&M’s work on the 140MW Olkaria Transaction Advisor Project in Kenya and the USEA Oserian Geothermal Industrial Park Technical Assessment. She holds a BSBA in International Economics and Finance from the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America.

Ms. Lindsay Burkhard was recently hired as an Analyst on the Policy and Regulation team. Ms. Burkhard is conducting economic and financial due diligence on a proposed geothermal project. With a background in US municipal affairs, Ms. Burkhard has advised elected officials and decision makers on matters regarding stakeholder engagement, land use, urban planning, and economic development policy. She holds a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University.

Ms. Laura Bulbena started as an intern with K&M, but has accepted a position as an Analyst with the Policy and Regulation practice. She is part of the team working with water utilities and governments in LAC to quantify and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. Prior to K&M, Ms. Bulbena worked as an energy analyst at CAF, a multilateral development bank for Latin America. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Ms. Veronica McCarthy recently joined K&M as the Business Operations Associate, and supports K&M through business development and strategic marketing initiatives. Prior to K&M, Ms. McCarthy worked for a senior Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons. She has a Master’s degree in Global Ethics and Human Values from King’s College London and a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from The Catholic University of America.
