True to its mantra of advising clients based on first-hand experience in project development and operation, K&M is delighted to welcome back Mr. Ivan Garcia. Mr. Garcia is joining K&M as Director of Technical Services.

Mr. Garcia worked on Termovalle (a 205MW combined cycle gas plant in Colombia developed by KMR Power–K&M’s previous IPP development and investment arm) as Technical and Environmental Manager and Generation Manager.

During the last eight years, Mr. Garcia specialized in long-term service agreements (LTSAs) for power generation gas turbines in Latin America and the Caribbean. He implemented, negotiated, and managed LTSAs for plants in Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Argentina and Colombia.

Mr. Garcia holds a B.E. in mechanical engineering from the Universidad del Norte in Colombia and a master certificate in commercial contracts management from Villanova University.

Mr. Garcia is a skilled engineer with an uncommon blend of experience in power plant O&M management and contract negotiation for multi-million dollar EPCs and LTSAs. We are delighted to have an expert of Mr. Garcia’s caliber join the K&M team.
