Aruba LNG Project Enters a New Phase

September 5, 2019

K&M was engaged by WEB Aruba to continue advising the utility’s LNG import terminal project.

Under the direction of Alfonso Guzman, president and head of the strategic services practice, K&M will provide front end engineering design (FEED) services for the Barcadera based project.

Supported by COWI, CH-IV, and Ecovision, the K&M team will oversee site studies, develop a design basis, conceptual design, and technical specifications, and perform environmental impact assessments and permitting studies.

As reported previously, WEB engaged K&M to perform a pre-FEED study for the terminal. This FEED engagement is the next phase in the project’s development. After this phase is completed, WEB will launch a competitive tender to select the EPC contractor that will build the LNG import terminal.

K&M is also helping the Aruban utility expand its solar generation.
