K&M, as a major partner in a consortium of firms lead by SEGURA Consulting, has been selected to perform transaction advisory services for USAID’s Power Africa initiative.
Power Africa, launched in 2013, aims to bring electricity connections to 60 million new homes and businesses and create 30,000MW of additional power generation in Sub Saharan Africa by 2030. Power Africa has already seen 80 power projects totaling more than $14.5 billion reach financial close.
“Having facilitated the financial close of six power transactions in Sub Saharan Africa with a total generation capacity of 1.3GW, K&M stands ready to help USAID and its partners to connect the African population to the electricity grid, and provide access to those who live beyond it.” said K&M President Alfonso Guzman.
K&M is looking forward to bringing its ample experience from more than forty previous engagements as a transaction advisor to Power Africa.
